The Brief

To create an animation video that was colourful and engaging, highlighting the key USPs of GasTag. With the theme of asking potential customers, do they have proof for the LGSR (Landlords Gas Safety Register Certificate)
My Inspiration

A few weeks earlier, I was browsing Medium, like I do most mornings, just after I've made my essential morning coffee in work. I like to take 15-20 minutes before 9 am to have a look at the current trends and any new emerging technologies within the UX & Design World.
I stumbled across an animated video posted on Vimeo. The animation was created by IV Studio and the client was Netflix. Their brief was a fun way to educate viewers on the recommended ways to watch Netflix on Smart Tvs.
What did I take from it?

1. The use of a limited colour palette.
2. Using music to dictate the movement/speed of the animated objects.
3. How every little element of the previous animation frame morphed into the next one.
My version

Up till now I hadn't really used much of After Effects so, it was definitely a baptism of fire. My Senior designer at the time helped me out with a few tricks I learnt along the way. Not only did I create this, I unfortunately stareed in it!
